Turkish coffee is brewed slowly, in a small copper pot called a cezve, set into a bed of hot sand. At Mosaic Art Studio – Voorhees, NJ you learn to make it yourself in a class of about 1.5 hours — no experience needed.
Your instructor starts with the story of Turkish coffee and the customs that grew up around it, then shows you the technique and brews a first cup for everyone to taste. After that the sand is yours: you brew for each other, with your instructor guiding you, and enjoy what you made with Turkish delight or chocolate.
$49 per person covers the whole class — the coffee, the equipment, the instruction and the sweets.

Why is Turkish coffee brewed on sand?
Turkish coffee is very finely ground and brewed slowly in a small pot called a cezve. Hot sand wraps the pot in gentle, even heat, and pushing the cezve deeper into the sand or drawing it back lets you control how fast it heats — the traditional way to brew it without letting it boil over.
What should I bring?
Nothing — everything you need is provided. Just bring yourself.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes — all seats are booked online and we can't accept walk-ins. Sessions are small, so they do fill up.
What is the cancellation policy?
- Cancel at least 168 hours (7 days) before the session starts and the booking is refunded in full.
- Cancel between 168 and 120 hours (7 to 5 days) before and up to 50% of the booking fee may be kept as an administrative fee.
- Less than 120 hours (5 days) before the session, the booking is non-refundable.
- Refunds are not available on the day of the class.
Can I reschedule my booking?
- Reschedule at least 48 hours before the session starts at no charge.
- Within 48 hours of the session there is a $25 per person handling fee.
Do you host private events and group bookings?
Yes.
